Hiking trails allow us to experience Penang Hill’s natural wonders, but they can be messy. Some hikers and trail runners mark their routes with trail rubbish and trail graffiti. To overcome this issue, the Hikers Roundtable, an alliance of outdoor recreation groups, has set up a trail-marking system called MAS-Tags (MAS stands for Multi-Agency Standardised).

With two types of tags being created: MAS-Tag ReUse for short-term events like hash runs and MAS-Tag Denai for permanent placement, learn about Hikers Roundtable’s efforts to uplift sustainability in our jungles. Let’s keep our jungles natural and clean!
