Mondays to Sundays Funicular Service 6.30am – 11.00pm

*Last trip from the Lower Station to the Upper Station (Penang Hill Station) is at 10.00pm.
*Last trip from the Upper Station (Penang Hill Station) to the lower station is at 11.00pm.
*The funicular runs on a half-hourly basis, and additional trips will be run if necessary.
Ticket Counters 6.15am – 9.45pm
  • The management reserves the right to revise the operating hours and ticket prices of the funicular without prior notice.
  • Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) offers a sunrise rate of RM6.00/round trip for individuals who work, study, or reside in Malaysia with valid identification (MyKad, MyKid, MyPR, Visa, I-Kad, MM2H, or Work Permit) at certain days and times.
  • To enjoy this special rate, tickets must be purchased at the ticket counter located at the Penang Hill Lower Station between 6.15am and 8.00am.
  • Sunrise rate, funicular chartering and compartment booking are not available during public holidays, festive seasons, school holidays and peak periods.

Procedures

Registration procedures for Tour Agency

  1. Register your tour agency at https://touragent.penanghill.gov.my/
  2. Upload scans of KPK L/N, Form 24, 44 and 49 (SSM)
  3. Please be patient while waiting for approval
  4. There your agency gets to enjoy the contract rates!

School Visit

Kindly follow the steps below to enjoy concession rates while visiting Penang Hill:-
  • 1) Fill in the Google Form at http://bit.ly/3ZEEy7E at least three (3) working days prior to the visit date.
  • 2) If you intend to make an early payment, fill in the Google Form at http://bit.ly/3ZEEy7E at least five (5) working days prior to the visit date.
  • 3) The official letter submitted must include the official letterhead and an authorised signature from the school.
  • 4) The complete details that need to be included in the official letter are as follows:-
    i) Visit date;
    ii) Number of participants; and
    iii) Visit time.
  • 5) Please attach a complete name list that includes:-
    i) MyKad/MyKid number
    ii) OKU card number (for differently-abled persons)
    iii) Passport number (for students/teachers from overseas)
     
    6) Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) will send a reply letter over via email prior to the visit date.
